Welcome to Epworth

We are proud of our new home. We moved here from Baltimore Avenue in downtown Rehoboth Beach in the Spring of 2008. The vision of the new church campus, during the 4-year dream, design and construction process, was to create a place for Worship and Community Service. We are pleased that since we moved here we have found many more ways to be part of the greater community.

Just as we moved into our new home we began discussions on hosting a new Boys & Girls Club to be developed in Rehoboth Beach and the next summer that dream came true.

We also were asked to host the High Holy Days for the Seaside Jewish Community. Their worship facility is not large enough to welcome the larger than normal gathering and Epworth has a large enough space, so we are honored to have our brothers and sisters come and honor God in our space.

Our Sanctuary was designed as a worship space foremost, while keeping in mind that a place for recitals and concerts would be a wonderful outreach to the community. We have hosted concerts by The Rehoboth Jazz Festival, The Delaware Choral Society, The Southern Delaware Choral Society, The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware, Sussex Tech High School, CAMP Rehoboth Chorus, The Milford Community Band and shows presented by Clear Space Theatre. We have had the pleasure to host the Cape Henlopen Senior Center Variety Show, Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theater, The Woods Tea Company. Other concerts by the composer of the ’87 Grammy Award winner “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You“, singer/song writer, Doug James and co-composer (with Michael Card) of the ’83 Grammy Award winning “El Shaddai”, John Thompson’s new band The Reminders. Thompson also composed the popular song “Sanctuary” sung in churches throughout the world. Our parking lot is home to the Epworth Skate Park and every June we host the Rehoboth Veg Fest.
