We have reached the Sundays in Spring when the 7:45am Sunday service returns to our weekly Worship Schedule. We look forward to seeing our early risers once again. It is still cold outside in the morning, please be careful driving and keep an eye out for any icy spots.
Epworth and A Way Forward are IN THE NEWS!
Food Rescue and Soup Kitchen are IN THE NEWS!
thekitchen@epworth has been hard at work for 11 years, now. Our soup Kitchen (Food & Love) just celebrated 365 WEEKS of serving lunch to the hungry. And, our Food Rescue Ministry rescued 107,806-POUNDS of food that would have been thrown out in 2018. Local NBC affiliate TV station was here on February 24 to report on this success story…
New Safety Measures
Beginning Thursday Dec. 27, 2018, the church doors will be locked during Office Hours and in the evening.  Office Hours are Monday-Thursday from 9am-5pm and on Friday from 9am-12noon.  During Office Hours, you can access the church or office by using the Remote Access System at the Bayside/Front door (under the steeple).  It is a small box/camera to the left of the Handicapped Entrance.  Simply press the button and then identify yourself when the Receptionist answers.  You will be granted access through that process.
For access to the building at night for a study group, recovery group or rehearsal, please show up for your meeting and your Group leader will let you in.
We truly appreciate your patience and support of this important change!
Simpson Men’s Group
The Simpson Men’s Group meets the 2nd Saturday of each month at Sammy’s Kitchen in downtown Rehoboth Beach (1st St & Wilmington Av). New members are are always welcome and you do not have to be a member to attend. Come be a part of something great.
New Outreach Ministry
On January 22nd we began a weekly gathering at Iron Hill Brewery for conversations that are at the intersection of faith and life.  Sessions are from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Attendees can order food and drink as they choose. Please invite friends and neighbors who you believe are searching for relationships and community in a relaxed setting.  We gather in the meeting room just past the main dining room.
Iron Hill Brewing Company has released a new soup and beer. Portions of the proceeds go to Epworth’s Ministries.  Please invite your friends and family as the Iron Hill staff embraces the community around us in this act of giving.

Women IN God’s Service
WINGS is a women’s service group that began in the fall of 2017. Since then, we have collected for Hurricane Harvey, distributed posters for Turkeyville, wrapped Christmas items for local shelters, volunteered for Food Rescue & Triage, and stuffed eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt. What’s next? Join us and see! We meet the second Monday of each month in Baker Lounge at 1:00 p.m. For more information, e-mail Janet Taylor-Smith at
